The first case of dengue fever has been reported in Puerto Vallarta, and Lupita Meza is concerned that the local spraying has not yet happened. Nestor, the delegado, doesn't know if it's coming this year. In the past, a truck has sprayed around town and small airplanes have sprayed the valley from the air. Last week, a crew of people visited homes and inoculated the wells. David agreed to talk with Nestor.
Drainage
The recent water testing report was given to Luis, at Tlaquepaque, who was happy to receive it and very pleased with the results.
Because the last report was fairly clean and because we have not had very much rainwater yet, the test scheduled for July may be postponed until November.

Fundraising
The Committee had their first planning meeting. In attendance were Sasha Lannon Kenny, Mitch Schilling, and Jacque Graff. The next fundraiser will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011. The format will be expanded to include a walkathon in the morning and an earlier start in the evening. We will have one band for the musical entertainment and the Taste of Lo de Marcos will be repeated. Sasha is working on a new poster and the committee plans to display it early, as was done last year.
It was suggested that the rummage sale be conducted in the morning after the walkathon to allow more time for shopping.
The committee is always happy to hear your comments and suggestions. Please email us at fundraiser@amigosdelodemarcos.org. Thank you!
Seven people attended the meeting including two officers of Amigos.
